Kwik-ZIP HDX65 casing spacers were utilised for the Rising Sewer Main for Grafton Bridge Utilities project.

The project required two 30m length of DN375 M-PVC carrier pipe to be installed inside a DN600 Mild Steel Casing.

One 30m length of carrier pipe was installed using traditional trenchless methodology with the carrier pipe being inserted into the buried casing pipe, with the second 30m length of carrier pipe being inserted into the casing pipe on the surface and then installed into a trench.

kwik-ZIP model HDX 65 spacers were selected and installed at 1m intervals to support the carrier pipe and protect it from abrasion damage during installation for both sections.

Kwik-ZIP’s casing spacers have no metal parts and are made from Kwik-ZIP’s engineered thermoplastic blend – a high-grade thermoplastic that is flexible, extremely tough and has a low coefficient of friction. The spacers simple and efficient installation process require no special tools.

Kwik-ZIP HDX Spacers are approved by WSAA and meet the requirements of their Product Specification PS-324 Casing Spacers.
