Kwik-ZIP customer Vaughan Civil recently utilised Kwik-ZIP HDXT-153 spacers were recently used to facilitate the slip-lining of two water main runs as part of the M1 Pacific Motorway Extension Project. Both runs – 1 x 62m and 1 x 127m involved 1219mm OD SINTAKOTE® Steel MSCL carrier pipe into 1574mm ID GRP casing for the M1 Pacific Motorway Extension.
The M1 Pacific Motorway Extension is a Commonwealth and NSW State government funded 15-kilometre upgrade which removes five sets of traffic lights providing improved traffic flow for motorists and freight for more reliable travel times, improves connection between the M1 Pacific Motorway and the Pacific Highway and the surrounding road network and results in improved safety for all road users.
Although kwik-ZIP products have comprehensive instructions that are added to every box supplied, kwik-ZIP Business Development Manager Paul Keegan attended site prior to the first installation to provide product installation training to ensure a trouble-free installation and utilisation.
